Special Equipment
Advances in technology have opened many opportunities for children with sensory impairments. We try to ensure that a wide range of equipment and resources are available to facilitate learning for our pupils.
All pupils are encouraged to use information technology including Internet access. Pupils with visual impairments have access to computers and software that allow output in enlarged print, Braille and speech. The school is currently developing a library of modified and subtitled programmes for auditory impaired pupils.
To further equip the school to meet the needs of all our pupils we depend on positive liaison with and support from a wide range of statutory and voluntary agencies.
