Accessibility
The Jordanstown Schools website has been designed to be as accessible as possible to all users, and as such several accessibility options have been included as described below.
Standard view
This option of the website has been designed for those site visiors who do not suffer from any visual impairment and is optimied for viewing with a monitor resolution of 1024x768 pixels. However if you find the text too small you can easily change the text size using your internet browser.
Changing text size in Internet Explorer
To change the text size click on 'View'in the browser window menu bar and select 'Text Size' from the menu that appears. You can then increase or decrease the text size of the Jordanstown Schools website.
Changing text size in Mozilla Firefox
To change the text size click on 'View'in the browser window menu bar and select
'Text Size' from the menu that appears. You can then increase or decrease the text
size of the Jordanstown Schools website.
Alternatively you can use a combination of key presses. Pressing the 'Ctrl' and '+' keys at the same time
will increase the text size and pressing the 'Ctrl' and '-' keys will decrease the text size. Finally pressing
the 'Ctrl' and '0' keys will return the text size to your normal setting.
High Contrast view
This option has been designed for those with a visual impairment who may have difficulty when reading from a webiste which uses black text on a white background. The high contrast view applies yellow text on a blue background and uses a larger text size than the standard view. However, the user can still alter the text size in Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox as described above.
